BrightSign has launched its Series 5 players along with new custom features and solutions for boutique use cases, including a locker room solution for athletics facilities, according to a press release.

Part of a product innovation push that includes MOKA BS60 player-integrated displays made in partnership with MOKA Technology (previously reported on in this publication).

The XT5 player rounds out the fifth generation of BrightSign players that includes previous launches such as the AU5, LS5, HD5, XD5 and flagship XC5 models.

BrightSign has also launched a locker designed for athletics facilities, particularly in higher education contexts, aiming to provide digital content and experiences in the locker room.

Featuring a 29-inch Bluefin display and the BrightSign Built-In display solution, the lockers are designed to show content triggered by input devices including wireless sensors that play certain content when a player’s helmet or jersey is lifted along with embedded wrist band sensors designed to trigger content for specific athletes when they come in proximity with a locker. Current users include locker room facilities in the NFL and a number of higher education institutions.
