Fivestone Studios, an immersive multimedia studio, has announced Justin Eslinger as its director of innovation, according to a press release.

Eslinger previously worked as an AR engineer for Snap, where he developed augmented reality technology including hand interaction for Snap’s AR glasses, along with serving as game engine supervisor and lead software developer for The Third Floor, where he served as lead software developer on the Cyclops AR application used in global film and television.

“Right now, there is a huge shift happening with innovations like AI, virtual production and immersive entertainment,” Traylor Woodall, founder and chief creative officer at Fivestone Studios, said in the release. “With Justin joining our team, Fivestone is positioned to lead this wave in some exciting new directions.

“It was fascinating to learn that Justin has a degree in film production but has been leading development on extremely technical applications and software for digital experiences. With his unique ability to transcend technical languages and platforms and aim through creative and strategic lenses, we can now offer our clients the strategic advantage of choosing the right technology to address their objectives.”

“”With Fivestone, I look forward to crafting new and exciting experiences,” Eslinger said in the release. “I enjoy research and development, and hacking things off the shelf together and creating something new. I’m also looking forward to building a team from the start that is focused on this sort of work. I’m a theme park enthusiast and I love going to live events. I have read stories about the early days of Imagineering and see a lot of parallels here, which excites me a great deal.”
