MwareTV, a cloud-based TV platform, has announced its partnership with Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence wing of Alibaba Group, to launch one-stop video services, including multi-channel service offerings like interactive television, catch-up, VoD and AI-driven content recommendations, according to a press release.
The system is designed to be compatible with Alibaba Cloud and to be accessible through the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace. The partnership will bring Mware OTT/IPTV solutions, such as its coding-free App Builder software and multichannel content curation and delivery, to a broader audience including Alibaba ecosystem users.
“We have engaged with Alibaba Cloud because, of course, they have great market presence in Asia,” Sander Kerstens, CEO at MwareTV, said in the press release. “This partnership allows us to reach users in Asia and Europe on the cloud environment they are probably already using. Alibaba Cloud also has a CDN covering these geographies, so together we can very quickly establish services for customers of Alibaba Cloud, with the characteristic smooth streaming of MwareTV.”
