Papercast, a solar-powered e-paper passenger information display solutions provider, will partner with Toyota Mobility Foundation, a non-profit leveraging expertise from Toyota and its partners, in a sustainability-focused public transportation initiative in Bali, Indonesia, according to a press release.

The TMF SMART@Ubud initiative has two components: dynamic bus schedule displays and creating an app-based smart xEV park and ride solution to reduce traffic and promote sustainability.

The initiative will install solar-powered 23-inch Papercast e-Paper displays at bus stops to show real-time arrival info, route details, marketing content and more in English and Indonesian.

“Partnering with Toyota Mobility Foundation underscores our commitment to collaborating with market leaders to reshape sustainable mobility with pioneering technologies,” Cameron Maconie, head of business development at Papercast, said in the release. “We look forward to continuing our work together to build further capacity and a greater sustainable impact”.

“We are excited to collaborate with Papercast to bring innovative and sustainable transportation solutions to Bali,” Pras Ganesh, executive program director at Toyota Mobility Foundation, said in the release. “Papercast’s advanced real-time information displays empowers commuters and contributes to a greener, more efficient transportation ecosystem.”
