Every week, Omnivex shares digital signage design tips on social media. Here are some of the most popular ones for the last six months:

  • Go beyond the basics! Use color overlays and effects to add dimension to your digital signage visuals, turning simple content into eye-catching masterpieces on your digital screens.
  • Remember the 60-30-10 rule! Balance dominant, secondary, and accent colors to achieve a visually pleasing composition on your digital signage screens.
  • Mix and match colors for a dynamic display! Experiment with complementary shades and gradients to create visually engaging content on your digital screens.
  • Grab attention with bold colors! Use vibrant hues that align with your brand to make your digital signage stand out from the crowd.
  • Use color coding for easy screen navigation! Organize content and categories with distinct colors to guide viewers effortlessly through your digital signage screens.
  • Create a visual hierarchy! Use size, color, and placement to emphasize important information and guide viewers’ attention effectively on your digital signage.
  • Consider your target audience! Tailor your design elements, color schemes, and messaging to resonate with their preferences and demographics.
  • Make use of negative space! Give your digital signage content room to breathe by strategically using empty areas to enhance visual impact and clarity.
  • Create a seamless viewing experience by optimizing content for different screen sizes and resolutions. Ensure your digital signage content looks great on any screen!
  • Engage your audience with interactive elements! Incorporate touchscreens, QR codes, or gestures to encourage user participation and create memorable experiences.
  • Keep your interactive kiosk user-friendly! Opt for large, easy-to-tap buttons and intuitive icons to ensure a hassle-free navigation experience.
  • Be consistent with your branding! Maintain a cohesive visual style across all your digital signage content, including colors, fonts, and logo placement.
  • Are you struggling to come up with fresh content for your digital signage? Try repurposing existing content in new and creative ways.
  • Less is more when it comes to designing content for digital signage. Learn how to simplify your messaging and create powerful visuals that leave a lasting impression.
  • Create a margin around the outside of your screen layout, and use this as another guide for your composition. Don’t place anything important (such as a logo) in this area.
  • To make the most effective digital sign design, research and collect as much information as possible, including screen size, resolution, type, and location.
  • A contrast in size will help give your design a sense of movement and depth, create visual interest, reinforce focal points, and help establish a hierarchy.
  • Digital signage design tip – Less is MORE! Limit words in headlines. Shorter is better! Follow the 5×5 rule: five words per line; maximum five lines.
  • Play with contrast! Choose font colors that stand out against the background of your digital signage content to ensure your text remains legible in varying lighting conditions.
  • Scale matters! Adjust font sizes based on viewing distance. Larger fonts are a must for screens viewed from afar, ensuring information reaches your audience effectively.
