Actor Adam Huss (“General Hospital”) chatted about his latest endeavors, which include his upcoming fan events, and his short film “Let It Kill You.”
Presently, he plays the role of Nikolas Cassadine on the ABC daytime drama “General Hospital.”
Zoom fan event
On December 3rd, Huss will be a part of a Zoom fan event with his “General Hospital” co-star Avery Pohl, who plays Esme Prince. “I am so excited about that one,” he admitted. “I will be with Avery Pohl and we are going to some trivia. That should be fun and exciting.”
“I am hoping the fans will also have questions for me about things that I can answer,” Huss said with a sweet laugh.
Long Island fan event
On December 30th, Huss will be a part of a “Holiday Homecoming” event at Mo’Nelisa Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria in Point Lookout, New York, which is produced by Coastal Entertainment. This will feature a Q & A session with the fans, as well as meet and greets, photo opportunities, and autograph signing.
“I am really excited for that because I will be home on Long Island, and I will get to meet ‘General Hospital’ fans in-person,” he said. “The fans on the East Coast are very into the show, and they are so responsive.”
“I am super grateful and thrilled because I will be home on the East Coast for it, that’s the best part,” he added.
‘Let It Kill You’ short
Huss opened up about the festival success of his short film “Let It Kill You.” It was composed, written and directed by David Cornue (with the two male leads Adam Huss and Adam Bucci also serving as producers).
“We actually have another screening next weekend in two other festivals right now. We will be playing at Nightmares Festival in Ohio, and another one in Utah as well,” he said.
AI on the future of the entertainment business
Huss shared his thoughts on artificial intelligence (AI) on the future of the entertainment industry. “It’s a scary thing, and there are two parts of it. We have to regulate it (and figure out how to regulate our rights) but we also need to accept that it is here, and it isn’t going anywhere,” he said.
“Hopefully, they will find a way to regulate AI,” he said. “Art is human and you can’t have it without the soul and beating heart of things.”
Working with actress Madeline Zima
Huss recalled working with actress Madeline Zima (“The Nanny” and “Californication”) on two different acting projects. “‘Painkillers’ was a good experience, overall, and she played my wife, and it was fun to connect in that way. I loved how my scenes with her turned out,” he said. “I was also so happy for her that she got to be in ‘Twin Peaks’.”
Matt Dallas
Huss also had kind words about actor Matt Dallas (“Kyle XY”). “Matt Dallas is such a sweet guy. I had met him when I first moved here, and I was very happy when he found success. Matt still has a career, he is still working, he has a farm, a husband and two kids, and he is still going… and that is just awesome,” Huss said.
Appreciation for his ‘General Hospital’ fans
Huss concluded by sharing his appreciation for his “General Hospital” fans. “I appreciate every kind message, word, or DM. I see them, I feel them and I hear them even though I can’t answer them all. Their support really means a lot to me, and I really appreciate them and their respect,” he said.
