Digital signage firm BrightSign and tech firm MOKA Technology (a TCL subsidiary) have partnered to develop displays with integrated content players, according to a release.

“BrightSign is the ideal partner to bring digital signage capabilities to our growing portfolio of commercial displays,” Laurence Liang, GM at MOKA Technology and VP at TCL Technology Group, said in the release. “BrightSign has a strong reputation of performance that is unrivaled in today’s market, with a track record of reliability that ensures our customers will enjoy years of trouble-free use from our new BrightSign-enabled commercial displays.”

The deal includes development of a line of player-integrated displays, starting with the flagship MOKA BS60, which leverages the BrightSign Built-In Platform.

Features include support for 4K, landscape and portrait orientation, ultra-narrow bezel, 25% haze and 3H surface hardening and overall depth of less than two inches, along with 500 nits brightness, 90% color gamut and ultra-high contrast.

“Demand for our BrightSign Built-In platform is strong, but until now our market penetration has been limited to smaller screens used in applications that lack ample room to mount external players,” Jeff Hastings, CEO of BrightSign, said in the release. “We believe there is an underserved need for larger screens with integrated digital signage capabilities, and we are pleased to collaborate with MOKA to bring to market a strong product offering to meet this growing demand.”
