Disney and Pixar, the creators of the animated film “Elemental,” have partnered with Samsung for a cinematic remaster of the film exclusively for the Samsung Onyx 4K HDR cinema LED screen, according to a press release.
The Onyx provides up to 300 nits in maximum brightness, which is nearly six times the brightness of standard cinema projectors.
The Onyx is Digital Cinema Initiative certified; Digital Cinema Initiatives LLC is a voluntary association of major Hollywood studios dedicated to providing voluntary industry specifications and standards in digital cinema.
