Raleigh, North Carolina is expanding its downtown fleet of IKE Smart City wayfinding kiosks, according to a report from CBS17.

The city began with five kiosks installed in November 2023, according to the report, soon adding three more; an additional three are planned, which will bring the total to 11.

“One thing that these kiosks go directly to is to knit together districts where, you know, Fayetteville Street, Warehouse District, Glenwood South, capitol, they can feel a little disconnected though they’re close to each other,” Will Gaskins, spokesperson for the Downtown Raleigh Alliance, said in the report. “We’ve received a lot of interest from other cities in the state who are thinking through their programs.”
