Projector manufacturer Epson has announced its debut of the PowerLite 815E lamp-free, short throw laser projector, according to a press release.

The model features model colors in black or white, along with Epson 4K Enhancement Technology, wired and wireless networking options (including HDBaseT, HDMI, USB and RS-232), 3-Chip 3LCD and 5,000 lumens of color and white brightness.

The projector can project images up to 160 inches in size while sitting 14 inches from a wall or screen.

“Epson’s team continues to develop new display technology to align with current market needs,” Tom Piche, product manager at Epson America Inc., said in the release. “This latest addition to Epson’s first fixed lens extreme short throw with 4K Enhancement lineup provides even more ease of integration across different environments and infrastructures. With its lightweight chassis, newly designed optical and cooling system, laser light engine, and support for 21:9 widescreen displays, the new PowerLite 815E takes display technology beyond the limits of flat panels, delivering a perfect combination of stunning image clarity and brightness, ideal for digital signage, hybrid meeting rooms and classrooms, and other ambient light environments.”
