Wi-Charge, a startup focused on wireless power, has announced its seven-inch, wirelessly powered display for retail environments, according to a press release and exclusive interview with Wi-Charge chief business officer and co-founder Ori Mor, who joined Digital Signage Today editor Daniel Brown via video link to discuss the new technology.
The Wi-Spot 7″ represents the company’s next generation of wirelessly powered displays, which leverage over-the-air (OTA) charging and which are designed to streamline the digital canvas in environments including retail, hospitality, store shelves, queue lines and restaurant tables.
“As the leader in over-the-air charging, Wi-Charge continues to push the performance envelope for delivering power-over-distance to a wide range of devices,” Ori Mor said in the release. “We are very proud of the new 7″ Wi-Spot display. Its unique capabilities are already empowering retailers, CPGs, and other businesses to deliver impactful messages to their customers at the most important moment in their buying decision, something that was never possible due to power access limitations.”
