The network of more than 4,000 screens reaches 78% of NYC residents and has provided free Wi-Fi sessions to more than 15 million unique users, along with providing digital signage sites for informational and DOOH advertising content.
The upgrade project includes plans to install next-gen high-brightness LCD screens on kiosks, upgraded computers, and updated exterior casing.
“LinkNYC has seamlessly woven itself into the fabric of New York City life, fostering connectivity and public engagement that transcends technology,” Nick Colvin, CEO at LinkNYC, said in the release. “These improvements to the Link assets support our commitment to enrich New Yorkers’ urban experience with hyper relevant, real-time information, wayfinding, and connectivity. This investment deepens the positive impact LinkNYC brings to our vibrant city.”
