Matrox, a video tech firm, has launched its LUMA Pro series of graphics cards for the pro AV market, according to a press release.
The cards are powered by Intel GPUs and designed for digital signage and video walls. The series includes a low-profile model (LUMA A310FP) and a standard model (LUMA A380P).
Both models can support up to two monitors at 8Kp60 or 5Kp120, or up to four monitors at 5Kp60 via DisplayPort 2.1. The cards can be combined to support video walls containing up to 16 synchronized displays at 5Kp60.
The cards feature GPU-based H.264 and H.265 codec engines supported by Matrox Mura software, allowing each card to decode up to 40 HD video streams and permitting IP-based video walls to be built around the video cards alone, aiming at lower power consumption and hardware costs typically associated with such projects.
