Phabrix, a test and measurement technology firm, has announced that Cobalt Digital, a designer and manufacturer of signal processing and edge devices for live video production and master control, has chosen and obtained four Phabrix QxL rasterizers to add to its inventory of Phabrix testing equipment, according to a press release.
The four rasterizers will be used in advanced IP ST 2110 product development and testing to support production capacity expansion at Cobalt Digital.
Cobalt Digital manufactures a range of openGear-compliant solutions and AV products utilized globally in production trucks and terrestrial and satellite facilities along with broadcast and cable networks.
“The new rasterizers have been purchased in direct response to the expansion of our operations, which includes additional offices and increased production requirements,” Ryan Wallenberg, VP of engineering at Cobalt Digital, said in the release. “Phabrix equipment has been a part of our product development and testing processes for many years, and we have always found their products to be versatile, reliable and consistent. The remote access capabilities along with APIs, deep analysis features and built-in generators have been especially invaluable to our engineers through the development of successive products. So, it was a logical choice for us to turn to them again for this expansion, with the QxL emerging as the ideal choice thanks to its significant flexibility and intuitive toolset.”
