PPDS, the global distributor of Philips Professional Display Solutions, has announced its selection by Tenstar Simulation, a simulation center in Sweden that trains drivers and machine operators of emergency vehicles, construction machinery and other heavy machinery categories, to replace all screens with Philips D-Line heavy-duty, high definition displays, according to a press release.
PPDS has replaced 1,900 displays at Tenstar Simulation, including screens for 700 simulators, at a center that serves more than 14,000 trainees annually, with a goal to enhance sustainability and safety during the training process. Each display unit is planned for an estimated 160,000 hours of on-screen time per year.
“The Tenstar development team works hard to deliver cutting-edge graphics and, naturally, the demand is high for great screens to display that software,” Freddy Lund, CEO, Tenstar Simulation, said in the release. “We get a lot of positive feedback when it comes to the displays. It’s a crucial part of our hardware and simulators.”
