Philips Professional Display Solutions is accelerating its expansion of its “total solutions” strategy announced in 2021, and announced two major staff promotions to support the initiative, according to a press release.
The total solutions strategy marks PPDS’ expansion beyond its original role as the global distributor of Philips professional displays, digital signage, interactive displays, dvLED and professional TVs, aiming to be a pioneer in the growing ecosystems approach in the industry of digital signage and pro AV.
Software development team expansion

PPDS has established a PPDS Software Development Team, initiated in Ghent, Belgium and expanding to Bangalore, India, headed by Software Director Siddarth Gopal, whose experience includes development of the PPDS Android platform along with working at PPDS parent company TPV since 2013.
Gopal has relocated from Taipei to Amsterdam for the role.
“Siddarth is an exceptional talent and has a proven and successful track record in delivering consistent results with TPV and supporting PPDS on its growth trajectory,” Martijn van der Woude, VP for global marketing and business development at PPDS, said in the release. “With his leadership skills and unrivalled knowledge of AV software, he is the perfect person to lead the team in this next phase of growth and innovation.”
Wave and ProStore ecosystem development

Sian Rees, who led development and launch of the PPDS Wave software platform and the ProStore ecosystem, has been promoted to the newly established role of business development director for Wave and software partnerships.
Based in Ghent, Rees will oversee global development of Wave and PPDS ProStore Marketplace.
“We developed Wave for and in collaboration with system integrators and customers to bring one of the most secure, scalable and easy-to-integrate cloud platforms to market,” Rees said in the release. “As our team grows, we will continue this open and innovative approach with our partners on the PPDS ProStore to provide the technology, flexibility and choice required to create exceptional customer experiences. Partnerships have always been key to PPDS’ success, and creating value with superior solutions including both hardware and software will continue to be our goal.”
