San José State University Athletics has partnered with Daktronics to debut the largest collegiate basketball facility display at the on-campus Provident Credit Union Event Center, according to a press release.
The 5.9mm screen is used for sports and events, including basketball and women’s gymnastics, measuring approximately 15.5 feet high by 75.5 feet wide and featuring variable content zoning for a variety of content types.
The project also included two marquee displays installed outside the venue (10mm and 8mm, respectively) and five courtside scorer’s tables, along with the Daktronics Show Control software solution and a content package by Daktronics Creative Services.
“We are so pleased with the new Daktronics video board enhancement that was recently installed in the Provident Credit Union Event Center on the campus of San José State University,” Jeff Konya, athletics director at San José State, said in the release. “The fact that it is the largest surface area video board in all of college athletics is a triumph in and of itself, but it certainly assists in producing first-class game-day environments for the sports of basketball and gymnastics.”
