The battle against sunlight in daylit settings is nothing new to digital signage providers, and Severtson Screens, a projection screens provider, has introduced its Ambient Light Rejection (ALR) projection screen models as part of its Impression Series product line of residential and commercial projection screens, according to a press release.
“Our customers asked for it, and we have delivered with the industry’s most advanced ALR screen,” Toby Severtson, president and CEO at Severtson Corp., said in the release. “Our new screen is both affordable and has an industry leading viewing angle versus other ALRs currently on the market today.”
With a viewing angle of 170 degrees, the ALR solution includes size options up to 120 inches (16:9) and 0.8 gain, engineered to support high-brightness, sunlit environments. Severtson Screens also announced it is beginning the transition to a new shipping standard of 6-piece frames, aiming to reduce risk of shipping damage, with the transition predicted to take a few months as the older 4-piece frames are used up.
“With 0.8 gain, our ALR is designed specifically for situations with high ambient light,” Severtson added in the release. “We are proud to serve the home theater and commercial markets with the same service and quality that has taken the cinema market by storm and cemented us as the industry leader. Our new ALR screens are a continuation of this dedication to provide what our customers want, with a product that exceeds their, and the industry’s, expectations.”
