Weslaco ISD, in Hidalgo County, Texas, has partnered with Rise Vision in its digital signage, according to a case study shared with this publication.
With 15,000 students, Weslaco ISD’s digital transformation project included moving away from a previous system that leveraged photo streaming on Apple TVs to a system that displays content across common area hallways, the front office, the nurse’s office, the counseling office, and classrooms. The project also included ViewSonic touch panel technology.
“What we’ve liked is that we have basically unlimited screens that we can put this out to,” Homer Colunga, instructional coach at Weslaco ISD, said in the case study, referencing an Unlimited License feature used in the project. “The beauty of those [ViewSonic] touch panels is they can be put anywhere in the classroom,” Colunga added. “So, the evolution of Rise is [that] we’re going to go beyond digital signage because we’re going to use it in the classroom.”
“What we have done here, it’s good. Rise Vision is so versatile,” Colunga concluded. “The fact that it’s just easy to use, and you can do a lot of things with it.”
