Alfalite and its U.S. distributing partner FOR-A have announced the sale of 120 Litepix Series LED panels to White Tie Productions, an American live event production company, according to a press release.

The sale includes 60 1.9mm panels and 60 2.6mm panels from the Litepix ORIM product line.

This is the second sale of the Eurpoean LED panels in the U.S. market after Alfalite moved to expand to North America via its FOR-A partnership earlier this year.

White Tie Productions has a headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona and offices in Orlando, Florida, and plans to distribute 60 LED panels from the order to each location for use in events or, when not in use, for display in the offices (with 1.9mm panels in Phoenix and 2.6mm panels in Orlando).

Ross Snyder, president at White Tie Productions, said that he made the decision to invest in Alfalite panels after seeing a demonstration at a National Association of Broadcasters trade show this past April.

“When you see an Alfalite wall in person, it’ s unique,” Snyder said in the release. “You can talk about LED all day long, but until you see a camera pointed at it, you can’t fully understand how well constructed it is. These panels have an almost 180-degree, crystal-clear viewing angle, which is unlike any other LED.”

On the proprietary LED approach of Alfalite with the Optical Resin Injected Module (ORIM) technology, Snyder commented:

“The diodes in panels are notorious for getting beaten up, particularly around the corners,” said Snyder. “ORIM is the most unique protection method I’ve seen. The FOR-A and Alfalite team at NAB were hitting the panels, running a ring across them, and nothing happened. Any other LED would have broken pixels immediately.”

“They’ve thought of everything,” Snyder added. “From the overall structure of the panel to the stacking and rigging hardware, the quality of the power supply, down to the data cable being permanently attached, it’s designed for use in live events. They looked at everything we need for live shows and integrated it into their walls.”
