Bursting onto the scene at a young age, gifted actor Alec Dahmer continues his electric rise in the entertainment industry. With an already extensive list of accomplishments, the young actor and dancer showcases his exceptional artistry and versatility. From acclaimed series roles to making a splash at international short film festivals and earning nominations for his standout performance in Bajillionaires, Dahmer’s talent is undeniable, with a promising future ahead.

Dahmer’s entertainment journey boasts more than 100 portrayals as Kurt in The Sound of Music during the 2015 Stratford Festival of Ontario. Additionally, he held a leading role in all 20 episodes of the comedy series Bajillionaires. This stint garnered him multiple nominations, including the 2020 Young Entertainer Award for Best Leading Young Actor.

His television credits include celebrated shows such as Netflix’s award-winning miniseries The Queen’s Gambit and HBO Max’s Titans, The Next Step, and the acclaimed Anne with an E. Rooted in a background of theater and dance, Dahmer played various roles in The Wizard of Oz during its Grand Theater run in London, Ontario, in 2016. Taking on leading roles, he starred in the short film Beat It, seamlessly weaving his acting and dancing abilities. Beat It earned numerous awards and nominations across the short film festival circuit.

Beginning his dance journey at just 2 years old, Dahmer learned the essence of performance, later securing an agent at the age of 12 and landing a role in the musical The Sound of Music. This nearly year-long endeavor significantly shaped Dahmer, gaining insights from talented actors who became performance and life mentors. After the show, he booked his debut commercial and small TV role on CW’s Reign, which provided a deeper understanding of the industry.

Booking Bajillionaires, Dahmer completed an entire season, attaining more impactful insights into leading a show and letting loose. The experience also taught him the intricacies of establishing both personal and professional connections and navigating press events.

At 18, Dahmer expanded his horizons, teaching dance to children and adults. Despite a vibrant Toronto dance industry, acting remained his core passion, compelling Dahmer to train more actively and hone his acting craft. 

Enrolling in the Terry Knickerbocker Studio’s Spring Intensive, Dahmer dedicated three months to rigorous Zoom training. Liberated by newfound skills and knowledge, he booked an intense role in HBO Max’s Titans and opted to further his education through TKS’s two-year conservatory program. Immersed in a diverse range of renowned acting techniques, Dahmer blossomed as both an artist and individual, embracing self-expression, trust, and a unique combination of skills to deliver compelling performances.

While embracing his individuality and self-assuredness has come with challenges, Dahmer acknowledges the pivotal role of mentors in helping him let his talent and presence shine unapologetically. Learning to trust and enjoy the process above all, Dahmer emphasizes the importance of process over product for genuine fulfillment. 

With impactful strides already taken as a rising actor, Alec Dahmer envisions longevity in his craft. Dahmer intends to continue pursuing impactful roles in moving narratives as he shares his extraordinary artistry with the world.
