Drawing inspiration from his experience in the consumer technology industry, Srivastava aims to provide HR technology solutions that bring a consumer-like experience to the workplace. Srivastava’s goal is to eliminate complexities and enhance the usability of HR technology, making it as accessible and engaging as consumer-oriented applications. He leverages extensive user research and feedback to gain insights into the pain points and preferences of employees and creates interfaces that are visually appealing, easy to navigate, and require minimal training. Srivastava led and deployed a similar consumer-like experience through the Digital Workplace Program while he was working at Levi Strauss & Co in 2019. The platform served as a one-stop shop to find all information and tools for global employees, was mobile-enabled, and increased employee experience at the Enterprise.

Srivastava also emphasizes the importance of seamless integration and a single-point access approach to achieve consumer-like HR technology. With employees interacting with multiple tools and systems throughout their workday, from performance management to time tracking and employee engagement platforms, an optimized integration of these disparate systems into a unified interface is vital. Employees should be able to access various functionalities seamlessly, reducing friction while enhancing efficiency.

“A consumer-like experience of technology is fast and proactive. When this is replicated in HR technology, it frees up employee time for more creative tasks, makes companies attractive to top talent, and saves millions of money,” says Srivastava.

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, complemented by a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Redlands, California, Srivastava possesses a strong foundation in both technology and business.

He has led the strategy and delivery of HR technology products for global workforces, pushing for technology-enabled transformations and driving product enhancements. His experience handling complex business setups and product ownership for platforms such as Workday, Service Now, Salesforce, Intranet, and Portals demonstrates his versatility in managing diverse HR technology solutions. One such example was when he led the deployment of the Health Attestation Application, the mobile-enabled app that allowed workers to work in retail stores and ensured both consumer and employee safety during the early pandemic, which has played a critical role in resuming the business operations of the Enterprise and US-based retail stores. 

In his pursuit of empowering more organizations to drive best practices in employing HR technology, Srivastava has written a White Paper titled, ‘How to Deliver HR Tech Projects’ for Agile People Ops, where he shared his decade of HR technology program deployment experience.
