Actress Kathleen Gati of “General Hospital” spoke about her love for cooking, and her various acting projects.

She also discussed being a part of such digital drama series as “Winterthorne” and “Ladies of the Lake,” as well as the holiday film “A Mermaid for Christmas,” all of which were created and written by filmmaker Michael Caruso.

On July 30, Gati participated in an in-person fan event in Glendale, California, which was a part of “General Hospital” Fan Club Weekend.

She is known for playing the role of Dr. Liesl Obrecht on the ABC soap opera “General Hospital.” She just celebrated her 11th anniversary on the show, and she will officially be celebrating her upcoming birthday on August 13.

The fans and attendees of this in-person fan event were treated to Gati’s chocolate birthday cake in advance.

Gati shared that she loves being in the kitchen, and while she lived in Hungary, she had a bakery there.

In addition, she enjoys doing her virtual “In the Kitchen” events with her fans via Zoom, where she shows them how to cook a recipe, and then she furnishes them her recipe afterward.

“Doing those was fantastic,” she admitted. “The best part was earning two Emmy nominations, especially because to get a nomination, you get it out of thousands of people, while the winner is picked out of five people. I was very honored.”

“It was great working with Martha Madison on ‘Winterthorne’,” she said. “We had time to work on those scenes, and we really studied. Martha Madison is really lovely to work with. I really love those projects,” Gati said.

“I also really loved doing ‘Ladies of the Lake,’ that was so much fun,” she said. “In ‘A Mermaid for Christmas,’ I played the role of the mom of Kyle Lowder’s character. That really was a dream role, and I really loved playing that mother,” she said.
