Review: Andrew Walker and Nikki DeLoach star in ‘Curious Caterer: Fatal Vows’

Actors Andrew Walker and Nikki DeLoach star in the new Hallmark mystery “Curious Caterer: Fatal Vows.”

This new original film premiered on Friday, October 13 on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and it was the third installment in this mystery franchise.

In this whodunit, Goldy (Nikki DeLoach) and Detective Tom Schultz (Andrew Walker) team up to solve the murder of a groom and find the bride before she meets the same fate.

The bride, Jessamyn Cole (Amanda Khan) is the ex-wife of Goldy’s current romantic interest, detective Tom Schultz. The town is shocked when they find the groom, Sterling Clearwater (Kareem Malcolm) dead and Jessamyn missing.

To make matters even more complex, a new detective (Brock Morgan) with a vendetta against Tom is hired to oversee the case.

Forced to take matters into her own hands, Goldy must find Jessamyn before she meets Sterling’s fate.

This new movie has an intriguing plot that will sustain the audience’s attention for the entire duration.

Each “Curious Caterer” film gets more dark yet intriguing and as the franchise progresses to the point where the viewer will be drenched in a wide spectrum of raw emotions.

Andrew Walker and Nikki DeLoach will take their audience on a thrilling and exasperating ride. Jaycie Dotin once again delivers as Marla.

Paul Ziller directed this mystery from a script by Julie Kim and Kariné Marwood. It is based on the book “The Last Suppers” by Diane Mott Davidson. Overall, the cast did a solid job bringing the screenplay and the book to life.

“Curious Caterer: Fatal Vows” is worth checking out, and it garners two thumbs up.
